Hal Reeves lives in a quiet, rural community in Evans, GA. After graduating from Evans High School in 1968, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Upon completing his tour of duty at the rank of sergeant E-5, he went to work for his father as a plumber and pipefitter. In 1990, at the age of forty years old and not satisfied with his accomplishments in life, he decided to go back to school. He spent two years of study at Aiken Technical College in Aiken, SC, and graduated with honors with an associate's degree in Nuclear Engineering. While there, he also achieved the outstanding student award for “Who’s Who” among elite college students in America for his academic achievements. After graduating from Aiken Technical College, he enrolled as a student at the School of Radiation Therapy at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. As fate would have it (he calls it a blessing), after graduating from MCG in 1995, he was offered a job as a Radiation Therapist at the Cancer Care Institute of Carolina, in Aiken, SC, the very next week. He was happily employed at the CCIC until his retirement in 2012. It was during his time in college at Aiken Technical College, that his English literature professor was so impressed with his essays, that he was encouraged to consider focusing on becoming a published author. During his retirement he did just that and continues to do so to the present day.
